Labor day weekend through Atlanta pride is pride season. before you play, get checked for syphilis so you can…
get in the game!
We are excited to introduce a new campaign, a collaborative effort of Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, Fulton County Board of Health, and Joining Hearts, called “Get in the Game ATL.” Get in the Game ATL is aimed at reaching all gay and bisexual men in Atlanta to encourage them to get tested for syphilis during Pride season this year. The overall focus is to de-stigmatize testing for syphilis and other sexually-transmitted infections while promoting routine testing so that men can protect both themselves and their partners.
In addition to testing with their primary care provider, men will have several other testing options available this Pride season. Mobile testing vans will be out every weekend in September and the beginning of October at different venues throughout the city for free testing. Additionally, we will make home specimen collection kits available to order online and be mailed to men’s homes for a small fee. Local clinics where you can be tested are listed here. Dates and locations for mobile testing are available here. Or you can place an order for a test kit to be delivered to you here. Have fun this Pride season and get in the game!
